Modern Minimal — A Marriage Biodata That Reads Like a Profile, Not a Form
Most marriage biodata formats are inherited from a wedding-card aesthetic: gold borders, script fonts, a lot of decoration around not very much information. Modern Minimal does the opposite. It gives every detail room to breathe and lets the content carry the page.
The result reads closer to a well-made professional profile than a ceremonial document. If you have ever felt that the usual formats make you sound like a brochure, this is the one to start with.
About
I design software for a living and make pottery badly on weekends. I read more than I watch, I am the person friends call when a spreadsheet stops making sense, and I would rather host six people for dinner than go to a party of sixty.

Family
We are a close family that still eats dinner together most nights. My parents are practising but not strict, and they have been clear that this decision is mine to make.

Best for
- Working professionals in metros, where the first reader is often the candidate rather than a parent
- Anyone whose biodata is long on substance, with degrees, career and interests, and needs it to stay easy to follow
- Families comparing several profiles at once, where clarity beats decoration
- Sharing over WhatsApp, since its single column suits a small screen
What this design does with your information
Your photo and name sit centred in a softly tinted band at the top. Below it, each section is a light box with one row per detail: the label on the left, your answer on the right, a hairline between rows. There's no ornament anywhere, so nothing competes with what you wrote. Headings stay small and quiet and the values do the talking, which matters when someone is skimming six profiles in an evening.
What to write when you use it
This design rewards specifics and punishes padding, because there is no ornament to hide behind. "Senior Product Designer at a fintech company in Ahmedabad" works; "working in a reputed MNC" looks like an empty box. The same goes for the About Me: two honest sentences read better here than a paragraph of adjectives.
Where it is the wrong choice
If the people reading it expect a traditional document, and for many families they do, this can read as austere, even unfinished. When the biodata is going to elders first, Classic Elegance or Heirloom will feel more like what they're expecting.
Try it with your own details
Create your biodata once and switch between designs without retyping anything, and your profile link stays the same. Modern Minimal is available on the free plan.
